Cara Lee Harris graduated in 1992 from the University of Missouri at Columbia with her law degree.  In 1989 she graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia with her undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Economics. 

Ms. Harris clerked for the Honorable Almon Maus and the Honorable James Prewitt of the Missouri Court of Appeals Southern District prior to joining the Missouri Attorney General’s Office where she was an Assistant Attorney General for almost 30 years. At the Attorney General’s Office, Ms. Harris served as Chief Counsel of both the Labor Division and the Litigation Division.  She has extensive practice before the Division of Workers’ Compensation, the Labor and Industrial Relations Commission, all divisions of the Missouri Court of Appeals, as well as the Missouri Supreme Court.  As Chief Counsel of the Litigation Division, Ms. Harris supervised the Assistant Attorney Generals who represent state employees, state office holders and most all agencies, departments, and divisions of the State of Missouri in civil litigation. 

Before joining Turner Reid in November 2023, Ms. Harris practiced for one year at Taylor, Stafford, Clithero & Harris.

Ms. Harris focuses her practice on workers’ compensation, insurance defense, civil litigation, and appellate practice.

Ms. Harris is a member of the Missouri Defense Lawyers Organization and the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association.
