Ben K. Upp

Ben K. Upp was admitted to the Missouri Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri in 1974. He received his law school education at the University of Missouri at Columbia (J.D., 1974) and completed his undergraduate work at Missouri State University (B.A., 1971).

Mr. Upp started his legal career in 1974 as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Greene County, Missouri.  Thereafter he was in private practice with the firms of Montgomery, Twibell and Upp and Greene and Curtis prior to joining Turner Reid as Of Counsel in March 2003.

Mr. Upp focuses his practice on civil litigation, including general insurance defense, medical negligence, products liability, business disputes, legal malpractice, and appeals. He has successfully tried a number of lawsuits throughout the State of Missouri on behalf of major manufacturers, businesses, and professionals.  

Mr. Upp is a member of the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association, Missouri Bar Association, Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers, and Defense Research Institute.  He is rated AV Preeminent® by Martindale-Hubbell.
