Donald R. Duncan is a graduate of Missouri State University (B.S., 1957). Mr. Duncan received his law degree from Washington University (J.D., 1964). He was the Associate Editor, Washington University Law Quarterly, from 1963–1964. Mr. Duncan was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1964.

Mr. Duncan joined the Stewart, Reid and Turner Law Firm in 1964 and became a partner in 1968. He served as Special Assistant Attorney General from 1970–1985.

During his practice, Mr. Duncan concentrated on real estate transactions, business matters, and probate and trust law. He was licensed to practice in Missouri state and federal courts.

Mr. Duncan was a member of the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association and the Missouri Bar and was the recipient of the Missouri Bar Foundation Purcell Professionalism Award in 1998.

Mr. Duncan retired in May of 2017 and, as one of the founding members of the firm, continues to serve as a mentor and friend.
